Pockets and More Pockets

If you are a dog parent, you will understand what I mean when I say, I need pockets and not those little half pockets you get, but real, deep pockets. I see people out walking with their yoga pants and tank tops and I wonder *where do they keep their stuff* and then I realize, they aren't walking a greyhound (or three). Summer clothes just aren't made for dog walking. Not once but twice last week after being home at noon to take the hounds out, I went back to work with black poops bags (empty of course) sticking out of the waist band of my dresspants. Then when I got home from getting groceries on Saturday, Mr. J asked me "Did you walk around the store like that the whole time??" I had the end of a poop bag sticking out of the back pocket on my shorts! You'd think after the first couple times last week, I'd remember. Besides the bags, you've got to have treats, too. I don't know how many times I've put on a jacket to discover a dried up piece of cheese or stale cookie in my pocket. I guess it's time to dig out the fanny pack and put it to use. Hopefully I'll remember to take that off!

  1. Ha ha ha! I just have a bag holder that attaches to a leash! My husband favors the pocket method, though, and he's actually washed quite a few bags. :P

  2. I can picture that. Maybe a chateleine would do the trick, I mean the kind with pockets the seamstress uses to keep her sewing stuff. It could be nice on a summer dress, and very handy for any dog owner...

  3. Hi Y'all,

    Playin' catch up here.

I've heard my Human express the same sentiments. She hates winter but likes the pockets the coats afford.

    Y'all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  4. Ha.. I'm with you on that. I favor the pocket method as well although I've long given up on preserving my dignity. How much dignity can one preserve when carrying around poop in a publix bag. When spare bags make their way to work with me.. thats just par for the course

  5. Lol!!! I have a bag holder that attaches to the leash and a small treat training bag from Petsmart that I can clip on my pants/shorts. Works great! I had to chuckle at the walking around the store with the poop bag hanging out of your short pocket....too funny!

  6. LOL! Since I've had dogs whether I by something or not is sometimes determined by the pockets. I'm always finding old treats in my pockets and dogs are always drawn to my pockets even if they're empty at the time. I'm not coordinated enough to use a treat bag. :-)
