Last Weekend

Miss Veil went to town last weekend for her outing, but Beckett and Maddy preferred to go to the Rotary Park.

Beckett checked out the velodrome but there were no bikers on it that day.

No dogs allowed close to the ponds, what's up with that.  Maybe licking your lips while watching the ducks is not the best idea.

When we were driving out of the park, we saw a man walking a greyhound in.  Maddy got so excited when she saw the other greyhound, that I almost turned around and went back in.  I controlled myself though, since I didn't want to seem too much like a crazy person.

Can we come back again next weekend?

  1. Oh I'm sure the greys would have all loved to meet/sniff each other. We all know greyhound people are crazy :)

  5. Looks like a lovely day out, I would have to have turned around LOl. Seems to be an unwritten rule between greyhound owners that they must stop and talk, like an exclusive club or something LOL.

Love and hugs from the Taylor pack xxx

  6. Looks like they had a good time. Isn't it funny how excited they get when they see another greyhound.

  7. Ha ha ha! The other night when we leaving the park where we teach dog obedience we passed some people walking a Greyhound. It took all I had not to go back and beg them to go on a play date with us! lol

Your outing looks fantastic! I would love to see a Velodrome! ~~ Bunny

  9. Looks like fun! I think you should have stopped to visit the other greyhound because we're all like a greyt big family. Not crazy at all. :)

  10. Always funny when greyhounds recognize their own kind. :-) One of my first greyhounds was initially uncomfortable around non-greyhounds. One day she was crying in a PetsMart and I turn around and she was excited to see another greyhound.

Loved your comment about starlets trashing the room. So glad Seven hasn't gotten to that point. :-)

  11. We used to use a velodrome where I used to live to run friend's foster Greyhounds quite a bit. We were walking near it one afternoon and there were actual cyclists using it and Beryl decided to race them outside the fence, lol. A couple of them nearly fell off their bikes watching a Greyhound race past them. She even ran down to the entrance, which they quickly shut, there would have been total mayhem if she'd got in there. She was very pleased with herself when she ran back to me, and we quietly skulked off into the shrubbery!

I probably would have gone back and said hello to the Greyhound too.
